The DDCA hosts a number of events each association year. Please use the links below to learn more about our upcoming events.

Fall 2019, Winter 2020

The DDCA provides sanctioned competitions for schools who are paid members of the association.

Fall 2019, Winter 2020, and Spring 2020

The DDCA Membership gathers three times per year at our Fall, Winter, and Spring Membership Meetings.  The Board of Directors facilitates these meetings, where we discuss important events and issues pertinent to the time of year, review finances, and vote on any proposed changes. It is important that each school has at least one DDCA Member attend the membership meetings.

To qualify for the DDCA Category Championships, teams must place first or second in a category division with a minimum score of 68. Following the last fall competition weekend, the top 50% of teams participating in each category will also be invited to compete at the Category Championships (minimum score of 68 is required). Teams will receive email invitations from the Board when they have qualified to compete. Teams are NOT to register themselves or any additional routines until they receive a notice from the Board that they qualified.

A maximum of 4 routines, per school (including JV and varsity teams), will be allowed.

Drill Down Participation: Individuals receiving Top 10 drill down honors at Fall competitions will be invited to compete in Drill Down at Category Championships. Coaches with eligible students will receive registration information via email.

Dance Scholarships Due - December 21, 2018
Academic Scholarships Due - January 14, 2019

High school dance team seniors are invited to apply for the DDCA dance and academic scholarships. These scholarships can be used for both dance and academic pursuits. The number and dollar amount of the scholarships are determined by the DDCA Board of Directors. Recipients will be announced at the OSAA State Championships. The scholarships will be paid directly to the institute after the student has been accepted and enrolled.

To be considered for a scholarship, dancers must submit applications to the DDCA based on the guidelines and criteria below. The DDCA Scholarship Committee receives numerous applications to review every year, so it is very important that dancers, coaches, and teachers carefully follow all of the directions on the application.
